I almost forgot how beautiful it is to spend time in the presence of God

Worship is to me, the strongest instrument of expressing my feelings to God.

Today was a simple yet amazing time to reflect and stand still, hear from God. I really miss church back home, but I believe God has a purpose for me to fulfil everywhere be it in Singapore or Liverpool. I remember how every youth service and camps were filled with such an atmosphere of praise and worship.Where everyone just melted before God. 

Even during worship today, I felt like God was speaking to me. He's more than enough for me. He's all that I need. It was such a wonderful reminder for me. Why do I keep seeking to fill the gaps or emptiness at times when He's right there. 

I want this to be a reminder to me every single time I forget: 

Jesus is the reason for my existence. 

I want to prioritise and just really make sure that He is the centre of it all. That everyday of my life, I want it to be filled with His presence and make it meaningful but spending time with Him. 

Then, there was another segment where we had to write about what was one thing that we really adored about him. And it just struck me, that He is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, creator of the universe yet He sent his son to die for us. Why was it so easy to forget that? 

As I was flipping through the book, Passion of the Christ it was such a timely reminder that Jesus died for us. God's love is the basis of christianity. It just amazes me.

Why are people christians?

What is the purpose in their lives?

Is it tough?

Why do they worship God?

Questions may be thrown in our face but I want this day to mark a day that reminds me of the reason that I love God. The reason that I want to keep Him as the centre of my life, a passion, a fire that burns for him. The love for people. The greater love for Him because he first loved us. 

The name Jesus, name above all names. 

The fact that we serve such a glorious and wonderful master, who forgives us and loves us that much
Just want to encourage all christians out there, don't ever forget the reason that convicted you and brought you to salvation. That burning passion for Christ and adoration for Him.
