This is a rather late post but still, Happy New Year!
So most people have been asking me, how's my new year & how did i spend it, you'd find everything in this post :)
So dad left on the 31st :'( Kind of sad, but anyway i went to Gobowen to stay at Leah's for a couple of days. Her family are such darlings & they have been great hosts to me for the past few days. So we had dinner & than headed to Weatherspoons for a couple of drinks, not the get smashed kind. More of the chill out kind, I don't see the logic in getting smashed on the first day of the new year & than going "oh i can't remember anything from last night", its just pure dumb & I'm not about to kick start the year by getting hammered.
So we headed back to Leah's & played a couple of games, which was really nice & fun, than we caught the countdown in London on tele & had champagne to usher in 2013.
The first day of the new year was simple but great. Healthy lifestyle. Went trekking at this hill & we reached the peak, i had a panic attack in the midst of it because it was so steep & there was a dog midway, so i literally freaked out. Anyhow, we managed to make it to the top & it was so lovely, breathtaking scenery. Had an awesome roast dinner with crackers ( though its not christmas ) but it was awesome - i got a bottle opener!! The night continued with more board games & i loved the game : crosses & knots.
020113- we did a bit of shopping in the city centre & than went for a walk at another hill & needless to say, you can probably see it from the pictures that the view is breath taking. I loved it, walks like this clear my head & we had a great time just talking. And the rest of the day was spent lazing around, just catching some tele & snacking.
Yesterday, headed back to Liverpool. Boohoo I'd miss Gobowen's beautiful weather & scenery. Yeah so I've been spending these two days just chilling out. For now, New Year resolutions.
1. Be more compassionate & listen to people.
2. Take more initiative - in whatever & spending time with the family.
3. Spend time daily reading & meditating on His word.
4. Eat Healthy & gym at least 3 times a week. ( the eating healthy has failed significantly in the past 4 days, oh well)
5. Seek God in whatever decisions i make, minor or major.
6. Focus at school & work hard in all modules.
7. Keep my room clean & neat.
8. Seriously pick up the ukelele.
I would like to live each day as if it were my last & love life.
Be more forgiving & patient.
